When the NFL announced Lamar Jackson’s Pro Bowl nomination on Sunday, it marked the first time the NFL had ever awarded an All-Pro player to a non-quarterback position.
Jackson, a four-time Pro Bowler and three-time first-team All-NFL selection, was selected by the Green Bay Packers with the 13th pick in the first round of the 2013 NFL draft.
He spent his entire nine-year career with the Packers, recording 4,848 receiving yards and 43 touchdowns.
Jackson was named to the Pro Bowl twice, earning All-Decade honors in 2015 and 2016.
He was also selected to the NFL’s Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018.
Jackson’s first NFL start came in the season opener against the New York Jets, catching a 29-yard touchdown pass with one minute remaining in the fourth quarter.
He made his first career start in Week 2 against the Chicago Bears, catching three passes for 29 yards, including a 34-yarder.
In 2018, he played for the Indianapolis Colts, finishing the season with five receptions for 53 yards and a touchdown.
In Week 2 of the 2019 season, Jackson caught a 28-yard TD pass in the final seconds of the game against the Detroit Lions to help the Colts beat the Lions 23-20.
Jackson played in his first game for the Packers on Sept. 3 against the Washington Redskins.
The first three weeks of the 2018 season were Jackson’s best, and he finished with 3,937 receiving yards, 26 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
Jackson also had his best season as a pro in 2018, catching 27 passes for 562 yards and five touchdowns.
In addition to those three games, he caught seven passes for 73 yards and two touchdowns against the Cleveland Browns.
In 2017, Jackson was drafted in the second round of his draft by the Packers.
He played for Green Bay in three games during the season, recording eight receptions for 64 yards and one touchdown.
He caught a 43-yard scoring pass in Week 5 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
In 2016, Jackson appeared in three NFL games for Green Lake in 2015.
He had two catches for 21 yards and was inactive for the rest of the season.
He also caught three passes against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
